WFX Committed To Remain Ahead of The Technology Curve
New York, USA - During the Strategic Advisory Board meeting, Mr. Sanjoy Sahgal – VP ( Product Development) advised that the World Fashion Exchange R & D team has been experimenting with the latest Microsoft technologies .NET and agreed to commercially launch it within the next 3-6 months. The objective is to enable seamless collaboration between buyers and suppliers using latest internet technologies.

D.Michael Barnes & Pierre Buuron were the other key executives present during the meeting.

Mr. Barnes is a senior Information Technology consultant with over 25 years experience in the development and implementation of Information Technology and soft goods supply chain strategies. He works with medium to large size consumer products and retail firms in the innovative application of technology to address core business needs and to develop and sustain a competitive advantage. During his career, Mr. Barnes rose to the level of vice president at Kurt Salmon Associates, a leading global management consulting firm and was responsible for the North American IT strategy and Operations Practices section. Mr. Barnes was also a member of the Kurt Salmon board. Retired from Kurt Salmon in 1999, Mr. Barnes is currently an independent consulting associate for the firm.

Mr. Buuron has held several prominent key executive positions with large corporations in Europe. Currently, he is the CEO of Plus Integration, a company that provides supply chain solutions for the retail industry. Prior to Plus Integration, Mr. Buuron was the Director of Corporate IT and Logistics of Vendex KBB, the leading non-food retailer in the Netherlands with 218 department stores, 190 “Do It Yourself” warehouse stores and 1,900 specialty stores located in Europe. As mentioned earlier, Mr. Buuron was also the President and CEO of Toys “R” Us Central Europe, where he was responsible for the overall general management of the Central European operation, including marketing and merchandising for 79 stores located in Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Switzerland.
